The State of Fair of Texas is opening next Friday and I hope to be there to try this years winners of best taste and most creative fried food competition. According to bigtex.com, the best tasting entrant was deep fried jambalaya and the most creative and delicious sounding I may add is the fried bacon cinnamon roll. Yummy! I hope they use maple bacon! My goal is to narrow down my deep fried bucket list this year by purchasing a season pass. I'll post pictures of past fried favorites next time with Juan's and my comments on each sampling.
